Coronary artery atherectomy

Coronary artery atherectomy is used to remove the plaque buildup along the blood vessel wall, improving circulation. 

Coronary artery stenting

If your coronary artery angiogram shows that you have more than 70% blockage in your coronary arteries, Dr. Lathia performs coronary artery stenting. During this procedure, he passes a small wire across the blockage and puts a stent-metal spring inside the blood vessel to open the blockage. 

Shockwave balloon angioplasty

Shockwave balloon angioplasty is a new procedure that uses a specialized balloon to deliver shockwaves through the plaque in the blood vessels, breaking it up. This procedure improves blood vessel expansion with the metal stent.

Peripheral angioplasty and stenting

For people with peripheral artery disease (PAD), Dr. Lathia may recommend peripheral angioplasty and stenting. With catheters, he uses a small balloon to open the blocked artery and then places a metal stent to keep the blood vessel open.

Peripheral atherectomy

For peripheral atherectomy, Dr. Lathia uses a laser catheter to remove plaque from the blood vessel wall.

Impella®

Impella is a device for patients with congestive heart failure. It helps stabilize the patient when their heart is too weak to pump enough blood to meet oxygen demand.
